Heritage

First fermented and roasted as xocolātl by the Olmec and Aztec, who used cacao as both currency and ceremonial elixir. Coenraad Van Houten's 1828 Dutching process gave the modern dark-cocoa profile, and Callebaut have refined the craft in Belgium since 1911.
